The Vanguard
Utility
Using Blow-Fill-Seal to Reliably Provide Drugs Often in Shortage
The Vanguard Utility is an independent company spun off from Apiject to help commercialize Blow-Fill-Seal for a wide range of liquid pharmaceuticals.
The Vanguard Utility, and its sister companies the Global Pharmaceutical Reserve and the Pharmaceutical Reserve Network, is focused on making sure more hospitals and patients can procure the liquid medicines they urgently need but cannot reliably get from other suppliers.
With its facility in North Carolina, Vanguard develops or procures generic liquid pharmaceuticals, packages them using BFS, and sells them directly to hospitals and pharmacies under U.S. FDA 503B regulations. Although it is a new company, Vanguard will soon be able to reliably provide dozens of generic liquid medicines that are often in shortage — and do so at very reasonable prices.
