Statement by Apiject CEO on Administration's Awards for the CMS Rural Health Transformation Program

STAMFORD, CT, December 30, 2025 — Apiject Systems, Corp. is committed to expanding access to high-quality health care for all Americans, including those in hard-to-reach and underserved communities. We welcome the Trump Administration’s announcement that all 50 states will receive awards under the five-year, $50 billion federal-state Rural Health Transformation Program, with first-year funding in 2026 averaging approximately $200 million per state.

Every American deserves sustainable access to care, improved quality, and better health outcomes. Yet for too long, rural communities have faced persistent gaps in access and resources compared with more densely populated areas. The Administration’s decision to make a substantial, nationwide investment through state-led programs represents an important and overdue step toward addressing these disparities.

We are particularly encouraged by the program’s emphasis on innovation in care delivery and health technology. These priorities are essential to reaching rural and remote populations more effectively, while strengthening the capacity of existing health care facilities and providers that serve as the backbone of care in these communities.

Apiject’s work to pioneer a new category of low-cost, high-volume, prefilled drug containers and devices – designed to be easy to transport, store, and use – directly aligns with the goals of this program. Our efforts to support competitive, domestic manufacturing of injectable generic medicines further reinforce the importance of resilient, efficient supply chains for rural health systems.

From our own experience, we know that the “last mile” of health care delivery is often the most challenging. Technologies that simplify delivery, reduce costs, and improve reliability, particularly when supported by national policy, are a critical element in improving health outcomes for Americans living in rural communities.
