A Prefilled Delivery System for Your Injectables

From simple generics to ultracold vaccines, Apiject is collaborating with a wide range of pharma partners to develop the right prefilled delivery system* for their products to meet market and company goals and deliver results.

Apiject Development Life Cycle

A Trusted Process that Works

Introducing a new platform requires experience and risk mitigation to ensure success. This is why our experts have designed an end-to-end device development process that is customized for your specific drug product, target markets, customers, and economics considerations.

Development
Process

From gathering requirements to prototype testing to feasibility filling, Apiject offers pharma partners an end-to-end development process that will reduce risk and improve outcomes.

Product & Market Requirements
Apiject Design and Device teams work with new pharma partners to understand the specifications of the drug product, market and environmental requirements, and the partner’s goals. This ensures that we create a customized approach that meets their unique needs.
Proof of Concept
Using a combination of the latest 3D printing technology and prototype mold production, Apiject designs prototype devices that meet the needs of the drug product, market, and commercial production.
Prototype Testing
In collaboration with pharma partners, Apiject conducts initial user testing of the prototype device. If the intended market is a low- or middle-income country, our Global Health team works with regional organizations to gather frontline feedback.
Mold Design
Once a prototype is agreed upon, Apiject BFS experts will design molds to take the product from feasibility, through development and testing, and up to commercial production. All molds are designed in our Technology Development Center to ensure the highest level of quality.
Feasibility Filling
Feasibility studies can be conducted in-house at the Apiject Technology Development Center in Orlando. The Center is also capable of performing stability runs, if requested.
BFS Training & Partnerships
If the pharma partner plans to do commercial manufacturing in-house, Apiject BFS experts can advise regarding line design and training. Alternatively, if production will be outsourced to a 3rd party, Apiject can facilitate introductions to world-class manufacturers.
